PK-12 Virtual Academy is a private Online/GREEN school registered under the Florida Department of Education, School Choice program.

Mission: is to provide a high quality, personalized, and meaningful education to all students at an affordable cost. We would like to achieve our goal by empowering students with personalized curriculum and professional assistance. We will provide each student with 21st century skills, technology, guidance, and inspiration, professional assistance, to enable all learners achieve their academic goals.

Vision: PK-12 Virtual Academy wants to empower learners around the globe by offering online courses taught and assessed by certified teachers and professionals.

Stakeholders

Betsy Melotti

Betsy Melotti Held marketing positions at Turnberry Associates and Macys Florida handling the international marketing and communications for both companies. Decided to stay home full time in 2010 to focus on raising two children and has worked as a marketing consultant on several projects. Betsy has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA and Orange County Public Schools.

Dr. Joseph Noel completed his Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Instructional Design and Technology from Keiser University. He graduated with honors from Florida Atlantic University with a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership (K-12, all levels) and graduated with high honors from Nova Southeastern University Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services with a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology. Dr. Noel serves as a youth mentor and Sunday School Teacher.
Wayne E. Rawlins

Wayne E. Rawlins, President of Ummah Futures International, is a strategic planning consultant who has assisted rural and urban communities nationwide in developing, implementing, and evaluating successful community revitalization strategies.

Rawlins’s the Project Manager for Miami-Dade County’s Anti-Violence Initiative, a four-year $7 million strategy, that includes “Group Violence Intervention” and the nationally acclaimed “Walking One Stop,” which has shifted the paradigm on how services are delivered to Miami-Dade’s most challenged neighborhoods by bringing a one stop victim services center to the doorstep of residents traumatized by gun violence. He also serves as the Director of the South Florida Reentry Task Force.

 

Shelby Cain

Shelby graduated summa cum laude Florida southern college with a marine and mathematics degree. She has a master’s degree in marine science from Nova Southeastern University. Shelby has been tutoring since 2018 for Pk-12 Virtual Academy.

Tanweer Syed

Tanweer Syed graduated with honors from University of Florida. He is currently in Dental school and tutors part time for PK-12 Virtual Academy.
